Anne Langley took up local history research when she retired from working for the Open University. She volunteers at Warwickshire County Record Office and helps to edit and contribute to their community website: www.ourwarwickshire.org.uk. Anne gives talks and has published books and articles on historical topics ranging from Almshouses to Victorian Village Life. She is currently researching the Hatton Pauper Lunatic Asylum, and indexing names from 19th century trials for the Record Office.
The talk about ‘Child Labour in Warwickshire’ looks as children working in mines and the textile industry, and those apprenticed to various trades, drawing on sources at the County Record Office.
